About
Welcome to Kaleidoscope Mosaics which was started by Edda Dirks after
having been inspired by the annual Ealing Art Trail events (“BEAT”) in West London.
She has so far focused on abstract, often geometric, patterns,
applying these to wall art, side tables, trays and trivets.
She enjoys creating beautiful effects with a wide range of glass and ceramic tiles,
using tesserae from matt to marbled to opalescent.
Edda is happy to take commissions at affordable rates, creating your personal, unique piece
which can be designed to match your existing colour schemes and décor.
You can contact Edda at kmosaics@yahoo.com.
Having mostly shown in West London so far, as well as at Chester Cathedral,
Edda made the move to rural Oxfordshire not long ago and enjoyed her first showing at
the Watlington artsHUB's spring exhibition in March 2024 at the Watlington Methodist Church..

Exhibitions
Recent exhibitions
In March 2024, Edda showed for the first time at the Watlington artsHUB's spring show, following her move to Oxfordshire.
Once again, Edda took part in Ealing's annual Art Trail in September 2022. She showed her work, together with painter Nicole McGregor, under the name 'Faces, Shapes and Patterns' at Ealing's famous Questors Theatre.
In March/April '22, Edda took part in an exhibition organised by the British Association for Modern Mosaic (BAMM) which show-cased a range of contemporary mosaics. on the theme of 'Constellations', held in the Chapter House of Chester Cathedral. She presented a brand new piece (above), especially created for this exciting event, depicting the evolution of the footprint of Chester Cathedral over the centuries.
Ealing Art Trail 2019 ("BEAT")
Edda exhibited again during the first two weekends of September at two new venues, the On Route café in South Ealing Road and St Barnabas church, Pitshanger Lane.
She had a great time showing off her latest pieces, including for the first time, greeting cards and her 2020 calendar!
Ealing Art Trail 2018 ("BEAT")
